Regulatory Compliance and Government Relations

Our agency is well connected “inside the Washington beltway”, with our offices right near US governmental agencies, members of Congress, the World Bank, NGOs, and trade associations. We have liaisons with US FDA Service agents and in-depth knowledge of the Foreign Supplier Verification Program and other food safety laws. We stay up to date with the latest federal and state guidelines, as well as custom and tariffs regulations, to ensure you’re complying at all times with anything from labeling to ingredient lists.

FDA US Agent Services (FDA Registration and Liaison):

We have a deep understanding of the inner workings of US food law. We get you started by registering you with the FDA and acting as designated US FDA agent.

FDA Foreign Supplier Verification Program Services:

One of the key provisions in the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2011 is that US importers are now required to verify and validate the safety procedures of their foreign suppliers. We serve as Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) for a number of US importers and subsidiaries of foreign exporters to establish and maintain the so-called Foreign Suppler Verification Program (FSVP). This program ensures that all food and nutritional supplement products introduced into US interstate commerce comply with US hazard analysis and preventive controls regulations, as it is mandatory for all US producers.

Label and Ingredient Compliance Review

We review your product’s labeling and ingredients list to make sure they are accurate, clear and comply with US local and federal law, preventing any potential recalls or legal problems.

Monitoring of Federal and State Regulations

Food laws change constantly and it is sometimes hard to keep up with them. We stay up to date on the latest developments in federal and state food regulation with research, magazine and news subscriptions that can give you the most accurate information possible.

Monitoring Customs & Tariff Regulations: We deliver exhaustive research on all and any updates regarding customs and tariff regulations, and how they will affect your business so you can stay ahead of the curve.
